Day Training at Uptown Dogs with Constellation Dog Academy

Real-World Skills — Built Into Your Dog’s Daycare Day

Uptown Dogs and Constellation Dog Academy have partnered to bring structured, real-world training directly into your dog’s daycare day. Your dog builds meaningful skills while they’re already at daycare — no extra drop-offs and no added stress to your schedule.

Our structured training programs strengthen everyday manners, refine specific behaviors, and support dogs with big feelings — all through thoughtful, relationship-based training.

How Day Training Works

While your dog attends daycare at Uptown Dogs, our trainers work one-on-one with them during scheduled 30-minute sessions. Thirty minutes is intentional—most dogs learn best in short, focused bursts; longer sessions can lead to boredom or overwhelm and reduce retention.

Each session is thoughtfully paced and designed to build both skill and emotional regulation.

After Every Session, You’ll Receive A Brief Summary Outlining:

● What we practiced

● How your dog responded

● Clear instructions for supporting the behavior at home

You stay informed. Your dog builds real progress.

Most families enroll in our structured 3-Week Day Training Intensive, designed to create measurable progress through repetition and consistency.

The Following Training Elements Are Included as Part of Our 3-Week Intensive Program:

● Kickoff Planning Consult with our head trainer

● 6 Trainer-Led Daycare Sessions (2x/week for 3 weeks)

● Digital Training Journal with written tutorials

● Choose Your Skill Transfer Option:

  • 1-Hour In-Home Transfer Session OR

  • 5-Class Group Training Pack

At the end of the three weeks, you and your trainer will review your dog’s progress and discuss next steps. If another round of training would be beneficial, we’ll outline a clear plan. If your dog is ready to transition, we’ll guide you toward the best continuation option.
